❓ Answers to Your Urgent Questions

Should I call my insurance company first?
In an emergency, call us first. We can stop the damage from spreading (mitigation), which is a requirement of most insurance policies. We’ll help you document everything afterward.
If water came from a sewage line or storm flood, it’s classified as “black water” and contains harmful bacteria. Do not walk through it without professional protective gear.
Typically 3 to 5 days for a full structure, depending on materials. Drywall dries faster than hardwood. We use moisture meters to confirm everything is bone-dry before sealing.
Watch for a musty “basement smell,” unexplained sneezing or respiratory issues that improve when you leave the house, or any past water damage that wasn’t professionally dried.
